Well look who's back! I actually wasn't away and have been very busy on the wedding front, but this blog has not been getting any updates for some time now! It's time to rectify that... 2025 was a good year for me, meeting some amazing couples and some very unique weddings! Over the next few months I would like to share some of these with you. Starting with Dora & Martin's energetic fun filled day at a very windy Cardney Steading in Dunkeld. A rustic and unique barn wedding venue tucked away in the beautiful countryside east of Dunkeld, this venue had a truly special feeling with spectacular scenery giving me endless ideas and photo opportunities! Dora & Martin were really great to work with, I can definitely say this was one of the best weddings I've ever photographed! Everyone there was in such high spirits all day, making it a pleasure to document every moment. I took more images at this wedding than any other previous due to the constant antics and crazy dance moves! There was no first dance. There was headbanging. I've never had that at a wedding! A definite highlight of the day, was the very windy photoshoot out on the venue's small loch. Braving the elements in only their wedding attire, Dora and Martin's boat got taken away by the wind in comical fashion, with rescue provided from mum and dad, who finally got them to safety! This was great entertainment for all of us watching from the side lines. Below are a few favs taken during this and it was only the beginning of the escapades... Fun times and drinks were flowing... We had a good few hours to focus on photos, so we approached this in a very relaxed fashion. I wanted to capture the natural moments and the bridal party were very relaxed in front of my camera, so antics ensued! I didn't have to do much in terms of direction, just be present and not miss anything! In the evening there was a very lively Ceilidh, which again was probably the best I'd been a part of. A 10 for effort and energy all round from all wedding guests and the happy couple! I believe the dancing went on until late as when I left, practically everyone was still on the dancefloor! Thanks so much for letting me be part of your special day Dora & Martin, I love the photos for their atmosphere and energy and I'm glad you do too. You guys rock!
